Through her artistic work Dārta is interested in geological observations and changes. She creates landscapes with futuristic forms, questioning the temporality of natural, mechanical, and manual creation. She is interested in the haptic aspect, being able to feel through sight, with which she wants to define what space of touch could be. During this residency Darta is planning to continue her research and to work on new sculptural projects. By experimenting in small scale, the approach of geo engineering as a solution for climate change, Darta will imagine a future landscape.
Darta graduated from Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2019 and has participated in exhibitions in France, Ireland, Japan, TOPOS sculpture festival in Saint-Denis, L’eau et les rêves at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Paris, tesselles//pixels at the Louvre Museum, The Whole and the Part in Tokyo.
