Ilze Mazpane is a performance artist from Riga with a background in philosophy, visual arts, experimental theater, and creative writing.

Ilze creates site-specific, long-duration performances characterized by poeticism, an interest in structure, and a sensitive relationship with spaceā. In her work, she strives for freedom from the tyranny of clock time, and therefore explores the experience of subjective time, “kairos,” and the concept of flow.
